採点が終わったら：どの型で落としたかを見る

点数より「どの大問を落としたか」が大事です。落とした大問を下の表で引くと、原因と対策がわかります。

落とした大問原因対策
1不定詞を使う形の区別〈It is … to ～〉〈want / tell / ask＋人＋to ～〉〈疑問詞＋to ～〉は to＋動詞の原形。let・make は〈人＋動詞の原形〉で to をつけない。help は〈人＋動詞の原形〉の形をまず覚える。
2不定詞を使う形の穴うめ（It is … to ～／疑問詞＋to／動詞＋人＋to ～／too … to ～）It は「それ」と訳さない仮の主語で、to 以下が本当の主語。how to（しかた）・what to（何を）・where to（どこで）・when to（いつ）を意味とセットで覚える。〈tell / want＋人＋to＋動詞の原形〉は人のあとに to、too … to ～ は「…すぎて～できない」。
3書きかえ命令文の内容は tell＋人＋to ～、Please のついたお願いは ask＋人＋to ～ にする。〈疑問詞＋主語＋should＋動詞〉は〈疑問詞＋to＋動詞の原形〉で言いかえられる。
4語順〈It is＋形容詞＋for 人＋to ～〉、〈動詞＋人＋to ～〉、〈let＋人＋動詞の原形〉の順番を、短い例文ごと覚える。
5・6意味のとり方と日本語からの組み立てfor me は「私にとって」、〈ask＋人＋to ～〉は「人に～するように頼む」、〈make＋人＋動詞の原形〉は「人に～させる」。too … to ～ は「できない」という否定の意味になる。

80点未満だったときの、やり直し順

  1. 大問1で「to をつける形」と「つけない形（let・make・help）」を区別する
  2. 大問2・3で It is … to ～、tell / ask＋人＋to ～、疑問詞＋to の形を固める
  3. 大問4で語順を確認する
